Fulbright & Jaworski

Fulbright & Jaworksi, one of the United States’ largest law firms, was founded in 1919 by R.C. Fulbright while working as a lawyer in railways regulation in Houston, Texas. He established the firm together with litigator and former district attorney J.H. Crooker.

In its earlier years, the firm concentrated on transportation work and represented clients like the Port of Houston and several Houston Ship Channel industries. The firm also represented clients involved in the energy and financial industries.

Another one of the firm’s significant involvements is the health care industry. Fulbright partners, who are trustees of the M.D. Anderson Foundation, contributed a great deal in the completion and establishment of what is considered the world’s largest medical system, the Texas Medical Center.
