Founded in Miami, Florida by lawyers Lawrence J. Hoffman, Mel Greenberg, and Robert Traurig in 1967, the law firm initially had no plans of expansion. It had just one associate and one junior partner. However, in 1991, the firm expanded and began operating nationwide as it opened an office in New York. Its New York office is now the firm’s largest center of business.
