Business Wire, through allbusiness.com, reported in an article titled “Greenberg Traurig Attorneys Recognized in 2008 Chambers & Partners USA Guide, The Legal 500 US” that 136 lawyers (firmwide) from Greenberg were included in the 2008 edition of Chamber & Partners USA Guide. In addition to this, 40 of the firm’s lawyers made it to The Legal 500 US 2008 edition list. Several of the firm’s practice areas in Washington, D.C. and Virginia were also recognized.
In a Wall Street Journal Digital Network article titled “Greenberg Traurig Announces Opening of Third Texas Office in Austin,” it was announced that the international law firm has opened an office in Austin, Texas. In relation to this, several new faces were welcomed into the firm including Demetrius G. McDaniel, Thomas J. Bond, Barry Senterfitt, counsel Patricia Fuller McCandless, and associate Janet W. Farrer.
In another Wall Street Journal Digital Network article, this one titled “Greenberg Traurig Attorney Kimberly Mello Appointed to Board of Trustees of the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society,” it was announced that the non-profit organization has chosen Greenberg Traurig’s Mello to head its Board of Trustees based on her impressive credentials and practice.
The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, through Market Watch, reported in an article titled “Greenberg Traurig, LLP Launches Multidisciplinary Gaming Practice” that the international law firm launched its 40-member Gaming Practice. The group will not only focus on casino operations but will also look into lotteries, pari-mutuel wagering, charitable gaming and Internet gaming.
“Greenberg Traurig Attorneys Named to Best Lawyers in America 2009” is an article that came out in The Wall Street Journal’s Digital Network last October 8, 2008. The article revealed the selection of five seniors Greenberg Traurig shareholders for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America’s 2009 edition. A total of 234 Greenberg attorneys were included in the list.
