Allen Grubman is one of the attorneys that entertainment business people turn to. Husband to Deborah Grubman and father to publicist Lizzie Grubman, he is a partner at the Grubman Indursky & Shire law firm. He has represented well known personalities like Bruce Springsteen, Calvin Klein, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey.

Born in Crown Heights to working class parents, Allen Grubman put himself through the City University of New York and taught at an elementary school prior to getting married and studying at Brooklyn Law. After his studies, he partnered with Paul Schindler and established their law firm in 1974. Later on, they were joined by Arthur Indursky, his cousin.

For almost 30 years, the law firm operated as Grubman Indursky & Schindler. Paul Schindler eventually moved to Greenberg, Traurig and was replaced by Larry Shire, who was officially named Grubman and Indursky’s partner in 2005.
