Geoffrey Fieger
Geoffrey Fieger is a senior partner of the Fieger, Fieger, Kenney, Johnson and Giroux, PC, a law firm founded by his father, Bernard Fieger. The practice specializes on medical and professional malpractice, litigation, personal injury, negligence law, class actions, as well as products liability.
Geoffrey Fieger, who is based in Southfield, Michigan, is well-noted for his defense on Dr. Jack Kevorkian against three murder charges that involved assisted suicides. He also won a case against the Jenny Jones Show in 1999. In a verdict that was worth $25 million, Fieger represented Scott Amedure’s family against the show, which they sued for negligence and wrongful death.
Geoffrey Fieger has had appearances as lecturer discussing about his representation of Dr. Kevorkian in relation to the issue of assisted suicide. In addition to this, he was a reporter for the O.J. Fieger has several published works like the 1987 Detroit College of Law Review’s “Michigan Tort Reform: An Exercise in Futility” as well as “Medical Malpractice Tort Reform: An Analysis and Comparison of Existing Acts” from the 66 Michigan Bar Journal. He also wrote the commentary “The Persecution and Prosecution of Dr. Death and His Mercy Machine” from the Ohio Northern University Law Review.
Geoffrey Fieger earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974 at the University of Michigan. Following his Juris Doctor achievement and graduation from the Detroit College of Law, where he later endowed $4 million in 1997, he partnered with his father and put up their law firm.
He is currently living in West Bloomfield in Michigan where his is married to wife Kathleen, with whom they have several children.
