Leslie Abraham
Leslie Abraham is a senior attorney and executive director of Child Centered Solutions, the sole legal aid group in Oregon that supports children through custody and divorce cases. The organization consists of lawyers who defend children caught in the middle of family disagreements.
Leslie Abraham gained her B.A. degree in Administration of Justice from Portland State University in 1980. Four years later, she earned her Juris Doctor at Lewis and Clark School of Law. A year after receiving her JD, she was admitted to the Oregon State Bar.
Between 1984 and 2001, Leslie Abraham practiced at the Multnomah County District Attorney’s office, where she served as a Deputy District Attorney. During the 12 years Abraham served the District Attorney’s office, she was exclusively assigned to the Juvenile Section. It was there that she was recognized as a professional who would agree on certain arrangements as well as work in partnership with child advocates, judges, and defense attorneys to find solutions to cases preceding trials. Because of her dedication and seasoned knowledge in the juvenile law, Abraham has often been a guest speaker for many training assemblies, including a Department of Human Services training.
Recently, Leslie Abraham was appointed as Program Coordinator and Program Attorney for CASA for Children Inc, which is situated in Portland, Oregon. The Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children, or CASA, is a nationwide-known association that aims to support the best interest of abandoned and maltreated children. Through this, she was able to address the many aspects of the nonprofit aid group, offering legal assistances to volunteers and employees who took part in the case planning, training, and legal orientation. The workers were also involved with building relationships with community associates and organizational assessment for the Executive Director.
Aside from being an established professional, Leslie Abraham is also a loving mother and wife to her husband and three children.
